// Index — Studio Manifesto
About the studio.
“Slow garments for those who refuse the calendar.”
Amaris Noir is the practice of an independent designer working out of a small home studio. The work is built around three convictions: that clothing is architecture for the body, that scarcity is honest, and that nothing should be made unless it can survive a decade.
Every piece is patterned, cut and finished by me. Fabrics are sourced from all over Europe.
The studio releases collections when they are ready, not when a calendar requires it. Pieces are not sold at the moment but orders can be placed.
// 01
Material
Wool, silk, hand-dyed organza, deadstock leather. We refuse synthetics where the hand of the cloth matters.
// 02
Method
Patterns are drafted on the half-scale. Garments are draped, cut, and hand-finished in the same room.
// 03
Movement
Cuts are engineered for movement. A garment that looks correct on a mannequin and wrong on a body has failed us.
